William CHABBEY:
Born in France in 1967 into an artistic and creative family, William very early chooses to play guitar under the influence of guitarist Django Reinhardt.
At the age of 15, William plays in Rock'n'roll, Funk, Rhythm & Blues and Pop groups.
Then in 1984, he entrusts its training to the hands of the legendary french guitarist Pierre Cullaz to the CIM (Paris). Its experiments lead him to create his own music and play it publicly as of 1988 in his own groups which have included the drummer George Brown (W Montgomery, C Baker) with which he always played, of the bass player James Lewis (B Higgins, V Freeman), of Thierry Arpino and Carlos Werneck (Tania Maria, C Buarque), and more recently the French saxophonists Eric Prost and David Sauzay.
We can find in William’s music influences of John Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Parker mixed with blues and Brazilian music.
His repeated meetings with the bass player Gil Lachenal and the drummer Andy Barron are concretized with its first album: "Meeting with the cool" in 1995. Since 2000, he played in France and Switzerland with Moritz Peter (CD: "Dex Mex") and then carries out one of its most expensive dreams in concerts: the trio guitar/Hammond organ/drums with Patrick Villanueva.
That's it for the training, and accompanied by his friend Carlos Werneck, that William CHABBEY present its second album to you, rich of original compositions and a large variety of musical shores mixing groove, blues and brazilian tempos.
